The core business of Buijs Plasterwork comprises all types of plastering work. We strive to be a reliable partner for our customers. With more than 60 years of experience and about 100 enthusiastic and adequately trained staff, the company has grown into a stable and well-streamlined organisation. This helps guarantee a smooth collaboration tailored to the customer’s needs.

History

The history of Buijs began in 1938. That year saw the first lines written of what would become a success story. World War II slowed down the company’s expansion to some extent during the first few years. From the late 1940s onwards, the company grew steadily. Buijs, which originally was a Dutch company, grew into a modern company in the finishing sector. It kept up with the times, adapting to the new materials and technologies being introduced in the industry.

The expansion continued and the turn of the century saw an ever growing number of works carried out in Belgium. In 2003, the company was acquired by Frank and Ad Hoogstrate, the current managers. Under their management, the company grew exponentially on the Belgian market. In 2004, a branch in Ghent (Buijs Plasterwork Flanders) was set up. Shortly thereafter, one was established in Steenokkerzeel (Buijs Plasterwork Brabant). In a short period of time, the company established a solid presence on Belgian soil as well, as is illustrated by its high ranking on the Trends Gazelle list. The company just recently opened another branch in Bruges, subscribing to the philosophy that good service is only possible if one is close to the customer.

By now, Buijs Plasterwork has earned itself a solid reputation both in the Netherlands and Belgium and is praised here and there as ’the best start in finishing’.

Socially Relevant

Buijs Plasterwork contribute, where possible, their fair share to a better society. ‘Diversity’ is a key term they feel very strongly about. The company employs people of about 20 different nationalities. We are proud to be able to transcend, day after day, with a varied group of people the differences in religion, skin colour, culture etc. and, moreover, to create a smooth collaboration which produces good results. Also within the company, we make great efforts to familiarize people from all corners of the world with life in Belgium.
Buijs Plasterwork also put their best foot forward when it comes to the environment. In addition, the company tries to contribute as much as possible towards an energy-efficient building process.
